Snakes

Snakes are found throughout the US and can be a cause for concern for a lot of people. Snakes tend to generate fear in people weather venomous or not. Snakes are very beneficial to the ecosystem and should not be killed unless they pose a direct threat. It can also be very difficult  to determine if a snake is venomous or not. Always let a trained wildlife professional inspect the situation and identify if the snake is venomous or not.

Environment:

Snakes live in a variety of habitats. Some typically live in wooded areas, while other prefer a body of water. The species and food source they are consuming will determine their primary habitat. Snakes can often easily be overlooked due to their ability to camouflage.

Behavior:

Snakes are specifically carnivorous and eat a wide variety of prey, from rodents to eggs, amphibians, birds, fish and even insects. As they eat they will grow and molt their skin. During molting, snakes are very vulnerable to predation and may be more aggressive.
