Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duty of the wildlife technician is to resolve human-wildlife conflict by means of trapping, physical removal, exclusion, clean up and sanitation.
Technicians will use a variety of trapping methods for removal of wildlife from customers homes and businesses.
Technicians will perform exclusion work to prevent re-entry in accordance with company protocols.
Technicians must be comfortable with handling wildlife, working at heights, ladders and tight spaces.
Technicians are responsible for communicating all findings and work done with the customer, either in person or by phone in a timely manner.
Technicians must have their company cell phone on and available 24 hrs a day for emergencies.
If your schedule is not full, you will fill in your time with other Terminix service work.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
In addition, the individual must comply with all government regulations, licensing, permitting, and company guidelines regarding the removal of wildlife.
Technician must comply with company safety protocols and personal protective equipment.
Technicians must be able, with or without accommodations, to climb, crawl under structures, to bend, stoop, twist and reach above shoulder level and be able to lift, carry up to 70 lbs.
The use of a ladder up to 32’ independently is required.
Education:
High school diploma or higher education.
Reasoning ability:
Must have the ability to interpret and carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Other skills and abilities:
- Oral and written communications.
- Self motivator, problem solving, customer relations, handle multiple tasks.
- Work in fast paced environment, organized, flexible.
- Working computer knowledge.
- Aptitude for numbers, attention to detail, follow-up skills.
